Salary:
Europe Pay Scale:

  • 37,000 – 47,000 EURO depending on experience
  • Base Salary: 36,000 – 46,000 euro gross
  • Annual Bonus: 1000 euro
  • Staff Support Fund: 750 euro per staff member
  • Assistance with home working equipment

British Pay Scale:

  • 34,440 – 42,840 GBP depending on experience
  • Base Salary: 34,440 – 42,840 GBP gross
  • Annual Bonus: 840 GBP
  • Staff Support Fund: 640 GBP per staff member
  • Assistance with home working equipment

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role will lead the ELSC’s development strategy for digital fundraising and campaigns, including for individual legal cases. You will design and implement digital fundraising campaigns that build on the existing ELSC end of year campaign and design communications, and engagement strategies to ensure the ELSC can maximise our public facing digital fundraising opportunities. The post holder will report to the Chief of Operations and Development and work across two teams: the Advocacy and Communications Team and the Development Team to ensure alignment and consistency is maintained across our campaigns and fundraising efforts. We’re looking for someone with great people skills, as well as drive, initiative and determination. You’ll be diligent with details and accuracy and have a dynamic approach to your work. You will be a natural problem solver, always looking to improve upon current processes to improve efficiency.


REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in fundraising and a proven track record with digital fundraising / crowdfunding strategy and activities
  • 3+ years experience of planning and executing (preferably multi-country) digital campaigns aimed at engaging the public and shifting narratives
  • Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist organising, in particular the rights of the Palestinian people and intersectional struggles connected to Palestinian liberation
  • Experience (professional or volunteer) with campaigning; involvement in activist groups, grassroots, non-profit or electoral political organisations
  • Politically astute; able to identify challenges/threats and opportunities for fundraising
  • Strong experience communicating effectively with donors, partners, board members, volunteers, staff, and the public
  • Demonstrated skills in communications and advocacy
  • Ability to collaborate to ensure aligned and consistent messaging
  • Strong organisational skills; able to prioritise, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional unsocial hours

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience managing CRM databases for secure donor records
  • Experience fundraising in the non-profit sector
  • Experience with Donor Box Pro or similar platform
  • Understanding of the role of ELSC

JOB DESCRIPTION – Development Officer: Digital Campaigns and Fundraising

Strategy:

  • Review/update Digital Fundraising strategy to expand small donor fundraising sustainably and scalably
  • Collaborate with Chief of Operations and Development to enhance fundraising strategy
  • Maintain/update digital fundraising financial reporting and Donor Box reports with Finance Manager
  • Develop and implement a small donor journey focused on engagement, retention, and activation

Event Coordination:

  • Work with Event Managers for fundraising/public events; attend as necessary
  • Inspire and develop relationships with supporters through dynamic events

Brand Communication:

  • Raise awareness of ELSC through social media, communications, and events
  • Coordinate small donors communication strategy (newsletter, social media, campaigns)

Digital Fundraising Coordination and Portfolio Management:

  • Support existing micro donors
  • Execute regular/annual fundraising campaigns (End of Year, Ramadan, etc.)
  • Develop case-specific fundraising strategies with legal officers and teams

Other Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports for ELSC Development, Advocacy & Communication teams, Executive Management Committee, and Board
  • Embed equity, inclusion, and belonging principles in all practices and processes
