Across Europe and Britain, the crackdown on the Palestine solidarity movement has reached new extremes<\/strong>.\u00a0
In Britain, the Starmer Government is moving to\u00a0proscribe Palestine Action \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0a direct-action\u00a0<\/strong>group that has been protesting the ongoing genocide by disrupting weapons shipments to Israel and targeting arms factories and contractors complicit Israel\u2019s genocide in Gaza.\u00a0
In France, the Macron Government is trying to\u00a0ban Urgence Palestine<\/strong>, a youth-led movement that mobilised thousands across the country.\u00a0\u00a0
In Germany, the BDS movement has been officially labelled as extremist \u2013 meaning that activists campaigning for boycotts, divestment, and sanctions are being surveilled, harassed, and repressed by the state.

In the case of\u00a0Pal Action\u00a0<\/strong>the state is now labelling these protesters as \u201cterrorists.\u201d Governments across Europe and Britain are attempting to set a dangerous escalation: that\u00a0resisting genocide<\/strong>\u00a0can be\u00a0labelled\u00a0\u201cterrorism\u201d, and that\u00a0organising for\u00a0<\/strong>justice becomes grounds for prosecution. This\u00a0weaponisation\u00a0of law is designed to isolate\u00a0solidarity\u00a0groups\u00a0and silence dissent.\u00a0
At ELSC, we\u2019ve been defending those persecuted for speaking out since 2019. W<\/em><\/strong>e have\u00a0documented thousands of incidents of<\/a>\u00a0censorship and suppression across Europe and Britain.\u00a0Activists are being arrested, suspended from universities, blacklisted from jobs, or visited by law enforcement – simply for standing with Palestine\u00a0
With increasing repression, the Palestine solidarity movement needs coordinated and affordable legal defense and protection: that\u2019s what we\u2019ve been building but we need your help to sustain it.

The banning of Urgence Palestine, Palestine Action and BDS are not isolated acts,\u00a0but part of a broader strategy designed to suppress and criminalise those who refuse to be silent in the face of a live-streamed genocidal annihilation campaign.\u00a0
