Contract:<\/strong> Full-time, fixed term (six months, with potential for extension)

Salary<\/strong>:
– Salary band 9.2 \u2013 9.4 (Junior Officer Roles)
– \u00a326,460 \u2013 \u00a331,920, depending on experience
– Progression up the scale after each annual review

Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Monitor and document incidents of repression, ensuring data entry aligns with database methodology and quality standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Coordinate with the Legal Department on the registration of incidents and linkage to legal cases in ELSC\u2019s internal systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Draft clear, concise case summaries for priority incidents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Analyse, interpret, and evaluate research outcomes and emerging trends<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support research design and contribute to methodological improvements within the Monitor and Research Department<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Apply and communicate research findings to inform internal discussions and external outputs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including civil society organisations, activists, solidarity networks, and research institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Genuine interest in working with the\u00a0European Legal Support Centre (ELSC)<\/strong>\u00a0and passion for defending Palestinian solidarity and providing access to justice for all<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Commitment to anti-racism, anti-discriminatory practices, and equal opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Proven experience in human rights or grassroots documentation, research, or data management<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Familiarity with database systems and data management tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Understanding of data protection, privacy, and ethical research standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to manage own workload in a busy environment to a consistently high standard and timely manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to adapt to different audiences and engage with diverse groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Proven ability to work and contribute in a team environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Proficient user of\u00a0Microsoft Office and Teams<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Desirable<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • Understanding the role of the ELSC and familiarity with Palestine solidarity in Britain<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Graduate degree in Political Science, Sociology, International Relations, Law, Data Science, or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Knowledge of relevant political and social contexts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience in conducting semi-structured interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Arabic speaking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n
